This patient had lost a premolar tooth after it had been restored with a large filling which subsequently fractured. The patient elected to have a Dental Implant instead of involving other teeth in a bridge to close the space of her missing premolar. The first photo shows an x-ray of a dental implant in place. Note how the implant is positioned perfectly between the remaining teeth - it is just like a "replacement tooth".
