Major Rehabilitations
Information about this item
This patient had suffered from periodontal (gum) disease which caused significant recession of her gums and made her teeth look long and thin. She had been treated previously with crowns, but her gum disease was not detected or treated.
The underlying problem of gum disease was diagnosed and the patient was referred to a Periodontist (Gum Specialist) for treatment. Once completed, new porcelain fused to gold crowns and ceramic veneers were made to "re-shape" and "re-align" her teeth. The result was excellent and the patient remains on a program of half-yearly reviews to prevent the problem from ever occuring again.
